Taylor Gordon is an international dancer, teacher, and director based in NYC signed with Resolute Artists Agency. She was most recently a Show Supervisor for Step One Dance Company/RWS and Resident Director for Dublin Worldwide Productions as well as on Musical Theater faculty at New York Film Academy. Taylor has performed at Lincoln Center with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, in 4 seasons of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Off-Broadway and national tour of Angelina Ballerina The Musical, at The Kennedy Center & Carnegie Hall, internationally as a dance captain & resident director with Spirit Productions, TUI Cruises, & Cirque Le Masque, at Jacob’s Pillow, and Dance Theater Workshop, and with numerous ballet & contemporary companies in NYC like Exit12 Dance Company. Taylor Gordon (SDC/AGMA) has been a professional dancer in NYC for over 17 years, where she has performed on some of the biggest stages of the dance world and toured all over the globe. Carving her own path as a freelancer, she works with a variety of companies and shows in effort to land as much stage time as possible. Her extensive ballet background has led to work in classical, contemporary, commercial, modern, and musical theater genres on stages across the world, as well as experience as a choreographer and director.
Most recently, Taylor performed as Dance Captain & Resident Director of "Christmas on Ice" and assisted in the creation of more than 10 new shows for RWS Global Entertainment. Before the pandemic, Taylor was dancing off-Broadway for the second time in "Angelina Ballerina, The Musical" at Soho Playhouse in NYC. Taylor has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, The Kennedy Center & Jacob's Pillow with The Black Iris Project, and Radio City Music Hall in 4 seasons of "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes." She has done several national and international tours, to places as far as Bali, Shanghai, Tokyo, Manila, and India, including dancing for TUI Cruises.
Taylor has danced with Exit 12 Dance Company since 2010 and has toured with them to Cuba and the UK. She has danced for American Swiss Ballet, Ballet for Young Audiences, and Felice Lesser Dance Theater among other concert companies. She appeared in a commercial for "Unique Pain Medicine," on PBS Great Performance at the Met Live in HD, and has been featured extensively in the press. Additional training includes summers with Twyla Tharp, Miami City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Complexions, Voice with Jan Horvath, Bettina Sheppard (mezzo-soprano), NY Vocal Studio, Jason Gotay, and acting at William Esper Studios (summer), The Barrow Group, and The Growing Studio.

Taylor's career turned towards direction and choreography after rupturing her Achilles and returning from the pandemic. Combining her ballet base and her experience in jazz and musical theater, her choreography is musical, entertaining, and clean while emphasizing storytelling.
As a Resident Director for Dublin Worldwide Entertainment, Taylor staged "Le Grand Cirque" in Taiwan during the pandemic, leading more than 25 circus artists in a giant production at an arena in Taipei. She has staged and been dance captain for 4 seasons of "Christmas Wonderland," in Tokyo, Niagara Falls, and Reno.
Since 2022, Taylor has worked as a Show Supervisor for RWS Global Entertainment, where she stages shows for Step One Dance Company on Holland America Line and Azamara Cruises. She's been part of the creative process for more than 10 new shows and was on full-time staff from December 2023-June 2024.
She assisted choreographer Jeremy McQueen in setting work on students at The American Ballet Theatre JKO School to premiere at The Kennedy Center, and The Ailey School.
Taylor's own choreography has been presented in NYC at the Asian-American Film Awards, STEPS Beyond Foundation, Jazz Choreography Enterprises Show, Uptown Rising, and on The Intrepid with Exit12 Dance Company. She choreographed the short film Juliette's Miracle and her own dance narrative UNPACKED, a dance adventure in summer 2024. She has choreographed on students in India, China, and Bali and in a music video for Lyra V. Her choreography has been recognized by CNN, CBS, ABC, and FOX News.

Taylor writes freelance for numerous publications and websites. She has interned at four magazines, including Pointe Magazine and The New Yorker. She earned a Master's Degree in Publishing and a BA degree in Communication Arts by age 20. She currently creates content for Veterans Advantage.

She spent three years as a publicity/office assistant at The Marino Organization. She has been an editorial & publicity consultant (everything from e-newsletters to web design) for numerous small dance companies and individual artists including Kat Wildish, Cornfield Dance, Exit 12 Dance Company, Ballet Academy East, Irini Res, and Judi Mark. She was the Features Editor of her college paper, The Monitor, and a contributor to the college magazine. She completed a Writing on Dance workshop at Dance Theater Workshop with New York Times critic Claudia La Rocco in May 2008 and was a member of the Dance Critics Association. Taylor is available on a freelance basis for writing projects and aspires to write a memoir.
Taylor travels the world to teach dance and Pilates. She has more than a decade of experience working with students ages 3-90.
In NYC, she is on Musical Theater faculty at New York Film Academy and has taught at Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Academy East, United Nations Ballet Club, Rhonda Malkin/Fusion Heels, Peridance, Gibney Dance, and The Ailey Extension. She spent 4 years on faculty of Third Street Music School. She created a musical theater summer camp in Shanghai, China in 2017 and introduced a different culture to classical ballet with 4 visits to Hyderabad, India, as well as receiving a 6-week teaching residency in Bali, Indonesia in 2018.Taylor has guest taught extensively in Tokyo and across the US, and has staged classical repertoire as assistant to master teacher Kat Wildish for the Performing in NY Showcase, for which she is Associate Director. She has also taught Dance History at the high school level for he School for Young Performers and the Ballet4Adults Certification Program. She judges for Nexstar, Revolution Talent, and Worlds.
Taylor has been a certified Pilates mat and apparatus instructor since 2011 and is a Certifying Instructor for Pilates Academy International. She is a registered 200-hour yoga teacher. She teaches privately from her Upper West Side home as well as at The Pilates Movement and The Mercedes Club.
Taylor launched her virtual fitness business Tailored Movement NYC in 2020, teaching virtual ballet, Pilates, yoga, stretch, and barre classes to students all over the world. Her workout videos are available on Amazon Prime.
Taylor enjoys teaching all ages and levels of ballet, pointe, variations, jazz, musical theater, modern, Pilates, yoga, conditioning, stretch, and choreography.
